   How to join the NNJGA. You can call the office at 775.787.5710 or email us at whalen@nnjga.org with your full address. You will be asked about your golf background, such as, how long you have been playing and average score for a 9 or 18 hole rounds.  

    Please note this is not a program for beginning golfers, it is for the intermediate to advanced players. The program runs from June to August during the week and membership is limited. Upon receipt of your information an application will be sent to you.  

To provide junior golfers in Northern Nevada and the surrounding areas with an opportunity to experience competitive golf. Our program is for golfers who have already learned the fundamentals of the game, and who have knowledge of the Rules of Golf. Instruction is not part of our program; we are here to allow junior golfers the opportunity to get together and test their abilities at some of the finest facilities in Northern Nevada. We take pride in the fact that many of our members have gone on to successful competitive careers, while demonstrating the knowledge of the Rules and etiquette that are so important to our program.

   The NNJGA is open to junior members 7 to 17 years of age. The program runs from June through August while offering three levels of competition. We annually conduct parent meetings and rule seminars to continue the education of the juniors and parents on the Rules of Golf, Golf Etiquette, and to instill the “True Spirit” of this great sport in everyone’s heart.

   Membership fees for a new member are as follows:

1. Membership fee for Level 1-2 players is $90.00

     Level 1-2 entry fees are $20.00 per tournament

2. Membership fee for Level 3 players is $125.00

     Level 3 entry fees are $ 30.00 per tournament

    A Golf Professionals signature is required on the application along with the players and the parents signature.  The Professionals signature is required each year the player participates.

THE FIELD WILL BE DIVIDED INTO THE FOLLOWING AGE DIVISIONS

   A junior may “declare up” to a higher age division if he/she desires. However, once a junior has declared up they will not be able to return to their previous division.

   A level 2 player who shows a scoring average that is able to compete in level 3 tournaments will be invited to compete in the level 3 division.

   If your birthday comes during the season, you will be placed in that age division.
