The NNJGA sends four (4) teams annually to the national event for the Boys Junior America’s Cup, Girls Junior America’s Cup, Hogan Cup Matches, and the Mary Cave Cup. By making one of these teams the junior golfer has the opportunity to be seen by college coaches and possible be selected for golf scholarships as they prepare for college. There is a travel team expense per player/per event for these events.
The Hogan Cup 36-hole team matches pit the best junior boy golfers from the Western United States and Canada against each other in a team format with the three lowest scores each day determining the team total. Medals are awarded to the top three teams as well as the top three individuals in the field.
Being selected to compete in Hogan Cup matches is an honor that has been bestowed to few individuals, and the excellence of past participants is indicative of the quality of the small, select field.
